Our New Studio

Change is in the air this October. Yes, the leaves are changing but the change I’m referring to is a change of address. Jo Nayor and the EarStylist have moved to the Hudson Yards neighborhood on the far west side of Manhattan.

For me, the move is another exciting new chapter for the company I started more than a dozen years ago at my kitchen table, crafting earrings by hand with gold wire while caring for a colicky newborn. Prior to that, I had been fortunate to work in the corporate world for several smart, accomplished women that showed me on a daily basis what it meant to be a leader and to be self-confident.

In the years since, I’ve met hundreds of female founders and entrepreneurs who continue to inspire me and support my business.   But I am also constantly reminded that there are girls and women everywhere who don’t have that support and are harassed and abused by people in positions of power. So it’s important that Jo Nayor gives back and takes a stand.

This summer, we introduced the fEARce Collection, a series of inspirational ear climbers in gold and diamonds. A portion of the sales from those pieces goes to charities supporting the rights and education of women and girls. It’s a small but important part of defining the values of this company and supporting the empowerment of women the world over.

As I watch the sun set over the Hudson from the window of our new studio, there’s still so much work to be done but I am heartened by the progress that’s been made and excited for the future.

Have fun, be creative and feel fabulous!

Jamie
